Side effects of levitra
Levitra (Vardenafil HCI) is a prescription only anti-impotence drug, similar to Viagra. Manufactured by Bayer and GlaxoSmithKline, Levitra was approved by FDA in 2003. Levitra quickly gained popularity among men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED) due to its fast acting and long lasting properties.
Belonging to a family of drugs called PDE5 Inhibitors, Levitra helps increase blood flow to the penis, so it may help men with ED get and keep an erection that lasts long enough to have successful sex. Levitra is not a cure for ED, you need to take it each time you want to have sex.

- Levitra should not be used by men taking nitrate medications (such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, and isosorbide dinitrate), because combining them with Levitra might provoke potentially life-threatening hypotension (low blood pressure).
- Some recreational drugs called "poppers" also contain nitrates, such as amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate. Do not use Levitra if you are using these drugs. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure if any of your medicines are nitrates.
